Meet Elizabeth – Operations Coordinator & Pet Care Professional

Hi, I'm Elizabeth!

I've been part of Helping Hands Medical Animal Solutions from the very beginning. As Nicole's daughter, I've had the privilege of watching this business grow into something truly special, and today I'm proud to be the woman beside the woman behind Helping Hands.

While you'll often find me behind the scenes answering inquiries, booking clients, coordinating schedules, and helping with meet-and-greets, I still love getting out into the field to care for our clients' pets during away stays whenever I can. Building relationships with both our clients and their animals is one of my favorite parts of the job.

Growing up surrounded by animals has given me years of hands-on experience caring for pets of all ages, breeds, personalities, and medical needs. I understand how much trust it takes to leave your beloved companions in someone else's care, and I never take that responsibility lightly. Every pet I meet is treated with patience, kindness, respect, and lots of love.

Outside of Helping Hands, I'm also a certified esthetician who loves helping people feel confident and cared for. Whether I'm looking after people or pets, my goal is always the same—to provide a positive experience built on compassion, trust, and genuine care.

Thank you for trusting Helping Hands Medical Animal Solutions. I can't wait to meet you and your amazing pets!

Meet Kam – Our Cat Care Specialist 🐈

Hi, I'm Kam!

I've been part of the Helping Hands Medical Animal Solutions family for just over a year, and I'm so excited to be back after taking some time away to focus on school.

Animals have always been a huge part of my life, but cats have a very special place in my heart. As Helping Hands' Cat Care Specialist, I love taking the time to understand each cat's unique personality, whether they're playful and outgoing or a little shy and reserved. Building trust with them and helping them feel comfortable while their family is away is one of my favorite parts of what I do.

Of course, I also enjoy caring for dogs and other pets, and I believe every animal deserves patience, kindness, and individualized attention. My goal is always to make sure your pets feel safe, loved, and cared for while you're away, giving you peace of mind knowing they're in good hands.

I look forward to meeting you and your furry family members and treating them with the same love and care I give my own pets.

Meet Eliaza

Hi, I'm Eliaza!

My love for animals began long before I ever considered working with them—it started as a child with a tiny rescue kitten named Soxs. I quietly cared for her for several days before finally asking my dad if I could keep her. To my surprise, he had already gathered everything she would need and was simply waiting for me to ask. Soxs became my very first rescue and remained a cherished part of my family for nearly 20 wonderful years.

Since then, animals have been at the heart of my life. I spent almost 10 years working on a farm, gaining invaluable hands-on experience caring for animals of all sizes. Those years taught me the importance of patience, responsibility, and recognizing that every animal has unique needs, personalities, and ways of communicating.

Over the years, I've been blessed to share my life with many incredible companions. My Husky/Great Pyrenees cross, Karma, was faithfully by my side for 15 years. My Chihuahua/Pekingese, Yoda, holds an especially special place in my heart because he was born right in my living room. I had the privilege of helping bring him into the world by tying and cutting his umbilical cord, and from that moment on, he truly became my little best friend. My experience also extends to caring for bearded dragons, crested geckos, fish, frogs, and a variety of other companion animals.

Friends and family often joke that I'm an "animal whisperer." I believe that's because I take the time to slow down, observe, and truly understand what each animal is trying to tell me. Building trust isn't something that can be rushed, and I love creating an environment where every pet feels safe, respected, and cared for.

Joining the Helping Hands Medical Animal Solutions family is an opportunity I'm truly grateful for. I understand that trusting someone with your beloved companion is a privilege, and I promise to care for your pets with the same compassion, patience, and love that I would give my own. My goal is to ensure you can be away with complete peace of mind, knowing your furry, feathered, or scaled family members are receiving exceptional care every step of the way.

I look forward to meeting you and your amazing companions!

Meet Isabelle “Izzy” 🐾

Hi, I’m Isabelle, but my friends and family know me as Izzy.

My love for animals started almost as soon as I could walk. Growing up on a farm surrounded by animals, I developed a natural connection with them from a very young age and have dreamed of becoming a veterinarian since I was just three years old.

Horses hold an especially special place in my heart. I got my first horse around age four and have spent years learning how to care for, understand, and work with horses of many different personalities and temperaments. Today, I continue to work with horses, including starting and finishing them, and have been fortunate to have several of my own over the years.

My experience extends well beyond horses. Growing up on a farm gave me hands-on experience with cattle and livestock, as well as dogs, cats, and a variety of other animals. I have also volunteered at Darcy’s Arc in Winnipeg, helping with the daily care of shelter animals, and have had the opportunity to observe veterinary surgeries, which strengthened my passion for veterinary medicine even further.

One of my favourite parts of working with animals is earning their trust. I’m especially comfortable with animals who may be nervous, unsure, or a little more challenging. I believe patience, a calm approach, and taking the time to understand an animal’s body language can make an incredible difference in helping them feel safe and comfortable.

I’m very excited to be part of the Helping Hands Medical Animal Solutions team. I understand how much trust families place in us when leaving their beloved animals in our care, and I don’t take that responsibility lightly. Whether I’m caring for a dog, cat, horse, livestock, or another special member of your animal family, my goal is to provide the same patience, compassion, respect, and attention I would give my own. ❤️🐾

Meet Emily

Hi, I'm Emily!

I'm 21 years old and currently in my third year of university, where I'm studying biology with the goal of becoming a medical doctor. I've always been passionate about caring for others, and that passion extends just as much to animals as it does to people.

I grew up in Northern Alberta in a busy family of six. As the oldest sibling, I naturally took on a caregiving role, helping around the house, keeping everyone organized, and caring for our family pets. One of the most meaningful parts of my childhood was helping care for our therapy dog, who supported my younger sister with autism. That experience taught me just how incredible the bond between people and animals can be.

I understand that every pet has their own personality, routine, and needs, and I believe they deserve to be cared for with patience, kindness, and respect. Whether I'm taking your dog for a walk, checking in on your cat, or caring for your pets during an away stay, my goal is always to help them feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you're away.

I'm so excited to be part of the Helping Hands Medical Animal Solutions family and look forward to meeting you and your wonderful pets!

Meet Hollie

Hi, I'm Hollie!

Animals have always been a huge part of my life, and I'm incredibly excited to be part of the Helping Hands Medical Animal Solutions family as your Walk & Check-In Specialist.

Through my work with Saving Grace Animal Rescue Society, I've had the opportunity to care for a wide variety of animals, including dogs, cats, birds, and exotic pets. Every animal is different, and I love getting to know their unique personalities, routines, and little quirks.

Whether I'm stopping by for a walk, providing a daily check-in, or simply spending time keeping your pets company while you're away, my goal is always to make them feel safe, comfortable, and loved. I understand how important it is to maintain their routine and provide the same level of care and attention they're used to receiving from you.

I truly believe animals aren't "just pets"—they're family. It would be my privilege to care for yours as if they were my own, and I look forward to meeting you and your furry, feathered, or scaled family members!

Meet Rylee

Hi, I'm Rylee!

I'm currently in my second year of nursing school, where I'm building a strong foundation in compassionate care, critical thinking, and helping others through every stage of life. Caring for others has always come naturally to me, and that passion extends just as much to animals as it does to people.

Before beginning my nursing journey, I spent several years working with animals and gained experience caring for dogs, cats, and other companion animals. Those experiences taught me the importance of patience, observation, trust, and treating every animal as an individual.

I love taking the time to get to know each pet's personality and routine so they feel comfortable and secure while their family is away. Whether your pet needs lots of playtime, quiet companionship, medication, or simply someone to keep them company, I'm committed to providing the same love and care I would give my own.

I'm so excited to be part of the Helping Hands Medical Animal Solutions team and can't wait to meet you and your amazing pets!

Meet Abby! 🐾

Hi everyone! I'm Abby, and I'm so excited to be part of the Helping Hands Medical Animal Solutions family!

I've been surrounded by dogs and cats for as long as I can remember, and animals have always held a special place in my heart. One of my favorite parts of pet care is getting to know each animal's unique personality and building a bond based on trust, patience, and kindness.

At home, I share my life with my five-year-old dog, who is my constant companion and a daily reminder of the unconditional love our pets give us.

Outside of animal care, I'm also a tattoo apprentice, where creativity, attention to detail, patience, and trust are at the heart of everything I do. Those same qualities are ones I bring into every pet sitting experience, ensuring each animal feels safe, comfortable, and cared for in their own home.

I know how important it is to trust someone with your beloved family members, and I consider it a privilege to care for them as if they were my own. Whether it's cuddles on the couch, playtime in the yard, or simply keeping their routine consistent while you're away, my goal is to make sure your pets feel happy, loved, and secure until you're home again.

I can't wait to meet you and your furry family!

Meet Jayson (Jay)

Hi, I'm Jay!

Animals have always been a huge part of my life, and I love spending time with them. Whether I'm helping care for our own pets, assisting with rescue and foster animals, or lending a hand wherever I'm needed, being around animals makes me happy. I believe every animal deserves kindness, patience, and lots of love.

I also enjoy working outdoors and take great pride in lawn maintenance and keeping properties looking their best. I like staying busy, working hard, and knowing I've helped make someone's day a little easier.

When I'm not working, you'll usually find me training with my Special Olympics powerlifting team. I'm proud to be an award-winning athlete, and powerlifting has taught me the importance of dedication, perseverance, and always giving my best. Those are the same values I bring to everything I do.

I'm excited to be part of the Helping Hands Medical Animal Solutions family, and I look forward to meeting you, your pets, and helping care for them with the same love and respect I give my own.
